Here's What Happens When People From Uganda Are Introduced To Pop Rocks

Apr 24, 2015 By Archit Tripathi
Krochet Kids is a non-profit organization that helps people in developing nations, like Uganda and Peru, break the cycle of poverty by teaching crocheting and helping people sell their creations. Initially started by three friends from Spokane, Washington, it has now grown into an organization helping over 150 people with employment, education and mentoring to create a better tomorrow.

Of course, it's not always as serious as it sounds, and there are plenty of moments for levity. Recently, Krochet Kid volunteer Jessi Tobin posted this video of one such moment. In it, beneficiaries and mentors in Gulu, Uganda are recorded having their first encounter with Pop Rocks, the famous carbonated candy that fizzes in your mouth.
