When it comes to sudden moments of instant regret, nothing really compares to the realization that you locked your keys in your car. It’s a horrible feeling because the only person you can blame it on is yourself. Then, you have to go through the embarrassing procedure of telling someone that you are locked out and wait for the situation to be resolved.
Next time, instead of calling AAA, try doing what YouTube user Petr Kolarik demonstrates in his video. He locked himself out of his car, but instead of panicking, he shows that with just a piece of string and 10 seconds, he can unlock his car door with ease. He does this by taking off his shoelaces and tying a slipknot. Then he carefully slides the string inside the car door until it grabs the knob of the lock. Once that happens, a simple pull upwards and the door is unlocked.
This method doesn’t work with all cars, sorry to disappoint all you car burglars out there, but you can give it a shot for yourself and see if it works for you. It may take a little longer than 10 seconds at first, but with enough effort, you should be able to figure it out.
