This incredibly well-coordinated play results in a "try," (i.e. a score or "touchdown"). Though very similar to a touchdown from American football, a rugby try differs in one fundamental way - while a touchdown requires players to simply break the plane of the goal line with the ball, a try requires the player to ground the ball in addition to crossing the line.
Rugby is a popular sport, played primarily in countries that are or were part of the British Commonwealth. The basic premise of it is fairly similar to American football, with a few minor differences. As a result of this similarity, rugby is slowly starting to gain popularity in the U.S. as well.
