Strange New Adventure Activity Challenges Participants To Break Out Of A Locked Room
May 18, 2015
Early reviews of this new form of entertainment were unanimously positive. The "prisoners" receive three free clues, but can request additional clues at the cost of a time penalty. Teams having a particularly hard time are given extra clues by an employee remotely monitoring their progress. If they escape within the time limit, they are allowed to purchase victory T-shirts and potentially get their names on a leaderboard.
Who would ever want to shell out their hard-earned cash specifically so they can be locked up? It turns out that quite a lot of people would, as the owners of "Breakout KC" are finding out. Breakout KC features four different rooms (only one is up and running so far), where teams of 2-8 people are securely locked in and must attempt to escape in 60 minutes or less. There are puzzles and clues that will aid the escape hidden throughout the room, some of which require no more than a keen eye while others need deeper-level thinking.
