Teachers Perform Their Students' Favorite Dances For The School Talent Show
Jun 3, 2015
A parent, SanDrell Denise, recorded the finale to the talent show and said these ladies brought the house down when she initially posted the link on her Facebook page. Over 5 million views later and over 130,000 shares, it is obvious that others appreciate what these teachers are doing as well. Keene stated in an interview with al.com that the three of them intended to find songs that the students already knew to tap into what the kids loved.
The three teachers spent recess time even asking students to critique their moves and give them pointers. From "Eenie Meenie" by Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber to "Teach Me How To Dougie" by Cali Swag District, these teachers certainly know how to reach their students through music. The kids' excitement could almost be felt through the computer screen.
Check out these awesome elementary school teachers from University Place Elementary in Tuscaloosa, Alabama performing end-of-the-year talent show. The three teachers, Natalie Keene, Jodie Campbell, and Dana Evans (all third grade teachers at the school), performed to encourage students to see them as people outside of the school.
