The Spirit Of Sportsmanship

Dec 1, 2015

Even if you are not a fan of college basketball or sports in general, it would have been difficult not to notice all of the hoopla surrounding the NCAA's March Madness. This past weekend saw the onset of the Final Four games that included the following teams: Wisconsin Badgers, University of Kentucky Wildcats, Michigan State University Spartans, and Duke University Blue Devils. In a new twist, the NCAA had a quartet of student athletes (one from each of the schools represented in the 2015 Final Four) sing the National Anthem before Saturday's game between Duke and Michigan State, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The song was executed perfectly by Wisconsin's basketball player "Velvet" Vito Brown, Duke's football player Deion Williams, Michigan's soccer player Michelle Dear and Kentucky's soccer player Kennedy Collier.
