More Information:
While visiting in-laws in Oriente, Brazil, Paul Wood and his wife noticed some fruit bats nesting in an outhouse. Grabbing a camera, he decided to film them and flip the footage upside-down. Bats have a unique physiological adaptation that lets them hang around this way without exerting any energy, and they are all set to launch if they need to escape the roost. While they're not generally known for being cute, this video dares to show them in a more comical light.
