Think You're Good At Skipping Stones? Compare Your Skills To The World Record Holder

Sep 17, 2015 By Houston Barber
Meet the new world record holder for most stone skips in a single throw. His name is Kurt Steiner and he just took the skill everyone thinks they're good at to the next level. In one throw, he skipped a stone 88 times over a lake in the Allegheny National Park in Pennsylvania.

It sounds unbelievable but you can follow along and count every one of the 88 skips in his record-breaking toss. If you want to challenge Kurt to a stone skipping battle you can take him on at the world competition in Easdale, Scotland. You might want to start practicing though.
