Most people stay away from discussing politics, at least until election season rolls around. The truth is, the inner workings of the U.S. political system can get pretty confusing. CGP Grey is here to help clear up some of this confusion, mainly with something called the single transferable vote.

Single transferable vote (or STV) is a system that was created to eliminate, or at least minimize, disproportionate representation of voting districts. The system allows for an area to be more accurately represented based on its population. While some argue that the mechanics of STV are difficult to grasp, the process itself is much less taxing on voters.
